A Legacy Since 1938
Modern Cafe was founded by Late Sri H. T. Vasudeva Rao as a humble 175 sq. ft. Udupi tea stall in Vijayawada. In its time, the café wasn't just a place to sip chai; it became a vibrant hub for community gatherings, idea exchanges, and poster updates — a concept decades ahead of its time. By the 1960s–90s, it had grown into a flourishing hospitality group with restaurants, railway contracts, and hotels. Today, this legacy lives on in a new form.

At Modern Café Foods, food isn’t just made — it’s sanctified. Every batch is presented as Naivedyam (offering to God) before it reaches you. Each pack includes a Bhagavad Gita shloka card, chosen to uplift and inspire your day.

From foot washes before entering the kitchen, to using turmeric-salt water for cleaning ingredients and tools, our SOPs uphold the highest standards of hygiene and sanctity. Certified kitchens follow these processes strictly, ensuring each product is prepared with spiritual and physical cleanliness.
Our 4 Categories of Products
We offer food in four distinct categories to suit every need and belief:
- Verified: Prepared in facilities that follow our SOPs and are randomly inspected. Made using refined oils or healthy alternatives.
- Verified Pure: These follow our SOPs and use only pure/organic ingredients, including desi cow ghee. Premium quality assured.
- Regular: Made in facilities that follow their own processes. Not inspected by us. Uses refined oils.

Every product is cooked only after you place an order. Fresh oil, no preservatives, and no reused ingredients. You get exactly what we would cook for ourselves at home — pure, honest food prepared with care.
